In the flurry of inaccurate information that came out yesterday, it was believed that Ms. Lanza was a kindergarten teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary. That was initially believed to be why Adam attacked the school, but now doesnt seem to be the case.

Recently, a man’s prepping in Sharpsburg, Maryland took a turn for the worst. Ironically, Terry Porter had been prepping for the possibility of a statist government overhaul and a potential societal and economic collapse. Unfortunately, federal government officials tracked down 46 year-old Porter after they received an anonymous tip that complained Potter was a “survivalist” with a “collection of guns” who was preparing for offensive reasons in retaliation for the reelection of President Obama.
After receiving the tip, federal officers began a further investigation on Porter, and discovered that he held a felony drug conviction on his record from 1992, which led 150 armed officials to break into Porter’s home. During the invasion, Maryland State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies, two special response units, FBI agents, and other officials raided Porter’s home and confiscated four shotguns and three rifles.

Several congressional Republicans said Sunday that they would be open to increasing the amount of money the government collects in taxes, with a senior Republican member of the U.S. Senate going so far as to say he is willing to break his earlier promise to not support tax hikes in any form.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he opposes raising income tax rates, but that he is open to increasing tax revenue by reducing the availability of deductions for things like charitable giving and mortgage interest. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) also said Sunday that he would support limiting deductions.

A Senate proposal touted as protecting Americans’ e-mail privacy has been quietly rewritten, giving government agencies more surveillance power than they possess under current law.
CNET has learned that Patrick Leahy, the influential Democratic chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, has dramatically reshaped his legislation in response to law enforcement concerns. A vote on his bill, which now authorizes warrantless access to Americans’ e-mail, is scheduled for next week.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Friday that Congress should stop placing legal limits on the amount of money the government can borrow and effectively lift the debt limit to infinity.
On Bloomberg TV, “Political Capital” host Al Hunt asked Geithner if he believes “we ought to just eliminate the debt ceiling.”
“Oh, absolutely,” Geithner said.
“You do? Will you propose that?” Hunt asked.
